Hermès Naturel Mahogany Samarcande Horse Head Sculpture

Hermès has long put its equestrian roots into objects beyond bags and scarves, and this Samarcande sculpture carries that history straight into solid wood, no leather or hardware standing in for the shape. A single mahogany block is carved into a horse's head and neck, the grain running visibly through the curve of the neck and catching differently across the smooth planes of the face. At 32 centimeters tall, it holds its own as a standalone piece.
